Who we are

Sliced is a golf performance and community service available at slicedgolf.co.uk. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@slicedgolf.co.uk.

Information we collect

We process account details, including your email address and username; profile information and profile photographs; golf rounds, scores, shots, clubs, handicap information and practice preferences; friendships, tournaments and verification activity; and essential technical information needed to operate and secure the service. GPS is used on your device during an active round when you enable it. Sliced does not sell personal information.

Anonymous usage analytics

Sliced stores a random first-party identifier in your browser to produce aggregate statistics such as unique visitors, visits per day and returning-visitor rates. It is used only to understand and improve Sliced. We do not attach it to your account, record your IP address in our analytics database, build advertising profiles or share it with advertising partners. Individual browser-level records are retained for no more than 30 days. You can switch analytics off or back on at any time under Settings → Your account & data. Switching it off removes the identifier from your browser.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide and secure your account, save and analyse your golf activity, calculate Sliced performance insights, display the community features you choose to use, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations. Processing is based on performing the service you request, our legitimate interest in operating a safe product and, where required, your consent.

Sharing and international processing

Information is handled by service providers used to host Sliced, authenticate accounts, store data, deliver transactional email and supply course or weather information. Public or friends-only profile information is shown according to your selected profile visibility. Providers may process information outside your country using appropriate contractual and legal safeguards.

Retention and security

Account information is kept while your account is active and for only as long afterwards as reasonably required for security, disputes or legal obligations. You can delete individual rounds or permanently delete your account from Settings. Reasonable technical and organisational controls are used, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, export, restrict, object to or erase your personal information, or withdraw consent. You can download a copy of your Sliced data and delete your account in Settings. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children and changes

Sliced is not intended for children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must authorise use. We may update this policy as the service develops and will change the date above when we do.
